Refreshing green smoothie with kale, kiwi, pineapple and lime.
After snacking on salted caramel brownie bars this past weekend, I’ve been needing extra greens to get me through the week. This smoothie is full of tang, flavor, and nutrients and perfect for the end of summer.
I suggest using a frozen banana for extra creamy texture. Make sure to peel and slice your banana before freezing it! I used two kiwis, but if you want your smoothie to be less tart, only use one kiwi or feel free to substitute another fruit.
In general I prefer Greek yogurt for it’s protein and texture, but any yogurt will work in today’s recipe. I also used almond milk, but any milk or milk substitute is fine!
Today’s recipe is short and sweet. Combine banana, kiwis, kale, Greek yogurt, pineapple, and lime in blender. Blend until smooth. Enjoy!
- ½ cup almond milk, or milk of your choice
- ½ Greek yogurt
- 8 oz crushed pineapple
- 1 cup chopped kale
- 1 banana, frozen
- 2 kiwis
- Juice of ½ a lime
- Combine all ingredients in blender
- Blend until smooth
