Hi, I’m Naomi! I am an academic life coach, blogger, and professional ballet dancer. I love inventing new recipes, taking photographs and sharing delicious food with friends. I grew up in Georgia, moved around a lot due to my ballet training and career, and currently live in KCMO. I love the exploring outdoors and learning the ins and outs of new cities. When I’m not coaching or blogging, I work out, spend time with friends, drink lots of coffee, and pin everything possible on Pinterest.
I am the oldest of five children and grew up making dinners and desserts for my family. My senior year of high school I lived with an amazing cookbook author and mentor who urged me to start writing. I started Carrot Cake Kitchen in August 2015. I believe in a multi-purpose kitchen. One that can be the place to create healthy meals, decadent desserts, and sometimes just have quality conversations. Of the many households I’ve been a part of, the kitchen is not only a place to cook, but a place to share life together. Life’s about balance, right?
Other members of my family include: Aspen and Juniper, my cats, who model for my photography practice and Kevin, my husband, who helps finish off all the extra baked goods. They both graciously donate their services and I wouldn’t have my kitchen (or sanity) without them!
Thanks for stopping by!
